  • Is Global MAD Academy nonprofit?
    Our parent company, MAD STARS, is a non-profit organization and established Global MAD Academy to nurture cultivate talent by sharing knowledge, creative solutions, and know-how from incumbent experts.
  • Do you offer courses in languages other than English?
    No, we only offer lectures in English. We do not currently provide subtitles, but we are willing to provide them in the future.
  • What types of payment do you accept?
    We only accept credit cards through PayPal.
  • What payment methods can I use?
    When you make a payment with your PayPal account, the money can come from your PayPal balance, and your debit or credit card with a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or UnionPay logo.

    Even with a credit card not linked to your PayPal account, you can send payment for goods or services after entering the correct card information.
  • What if I do not have a PayPal account?
    Even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can pay using a credit or debit card.
  • What credit or debit cards can I use?
    You can pay via PayPal using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay credit card or a debit card marked with the Visa, Mastercard, American Express or UnionPay logo.

    However, the country where the card was issued and the country you set must match.
  • Can I get a refund if I don’t enjoy the courses?
    In principle, you can get a 100% refund if you express your intention to refund before the lecture begins. There is a 50% penalty within 6 weeks of the opening day, and no refund after 6 weeks. However, in 2021, lectures are offered at a special discount, so no refunds are allowed under any circumstances. We kindly ask for your understanding.
  • Do I need to become a member?
    Since Global MAD Academy issues a Certificate of Completion for the course, membership with real name verification is required.
  • The membership button does not work. What should I do?
    Due to a compatibility issue with different browsers, we recommend that you try again using a different Internet browser as shown below:

  • How do I become a member?
    Click the membership by clicking the [Membership] button at the top right of the main screen of the homepage.
    Global MAD Academy grants membership through self-authentication. Therefore, you can become a member through safe self-authentication.
  • How do I unsubscribe?
    First, log in, go to [My Page] at the top right of the homepage’s main screen.
    At the bottom of member information management, click the [Unsubscribe] button.

    If you unsubscribe, all private information you provided at sign up will be deleted, and cannot be recovered.

    Posts and comments on various pages of Global MAD Academy are not automatically deleted when you unsubscribe.
    If you want to delete your posts, please delete all data before unsubscribing.

  • I can’t remember my access ID.
    Your ID is your email address. We do not provide a separate ID search menu because member IDs are protected according to the privacy policy.

  • I can’t remember my Password.
    Click [Login] on the right side of the main screen of the homepage, and check [Find Password] at the bottom.
  • How do I log in?
    1. General member log in
    Enter your email address (Example: enter full address 0000@gmail.com) and password in [Log In] on the right side of the main screen of the homepage, and click the login button at the bottom.

    2. Easy login with SNS
    [Login] on the right side of the main screen of the homepage > Select an account using the easy SNS login > Enter SNS information and log in (if you are already logged in to the SNS, you will be logged in without additional input).
  • How can I edit my information?
    Go to [My Page] at the top right of the main screen of the homepage.
    To edit your information, check that all information is entered in the required member information fields and click XXXX.

  • The video doesn't play
    The problem appears to be a web browser compatibility issue.
    ① Try in a different environment (using a different computer or mobile device) or ② use different browse.

    Global MAD Academy is optimized for the Chrome browser, and you need to adjust the site settings when you use it for the first time.

    Please change the settings as below:

    1. Access the Global MAD Academy (academy.adstars.org) using your Chrome browser.
    2. Click the “i” in the circle or the lock icon to the left of the Chrome address bar
    3. Select “Site Settings” at the bottom
    4. Change 'Block insecure content' to 'Allow' at the bottom of the page.

    'Renew' the page after changing the settings. This will enable normal learning. Please check.

  • There is no sound in the video clip.
    Check your computer's sound settings
    1. Click the speaker icon at the bottom right of your desktop > Adjust the volume
    2. Click the 'Start' button in the lower left corner > Control Panel > Check speaker volume
    3. Check if videos on other sites have sound playing (YouTube, Naver TV, etc.)
    4. If only the sound of the video from Global MAD Academy does not play, it may be a browser compatibility issue. Try using another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge in Windows 10, etc.), Check if you hear the sound when playing streaming video from other sites.
    If there is no sound from other sites, the problem may be the speaker connection and sound card of the computer you are using. Please contact a computer service center for help.
  • Can I control speed and video play?
    Yes. Press the gear icon on the right side of the video play bar to select and adjust the video speed, quality, and subtitles.
    Click the play bar to move forward or backward in the video.
  • How can I access the site from mobile/tablet?
    Global MAD Academy is equipped with ‘Responsive Web’ technology that provides web pages optimized for various smart devices with a single web page address.
    Enter the knowledge homepage address in the web browser of your computer or mobile device for instant access.

  • The class application pop-up does not appear.
    Turn off pop-up blocker
    - Click See More Icon at the top right of the browser.
    - Click Settings
    - Scroll down and click Advance
    - Click Content Settings under Privacy & Security
    - Select Option
    - Allow all pop ups: Click Block (recommended) to change the Settings to Allow
    - Allow Mad Academy pop up: Click A.dd next to Allow, enter https://[*.]adstars.org and click A.dd.
  • What is the class application period?
    Global MAD Academy offers courses quarterly.
    The application period begins three weeks before the class starts and 15 days before the start of the class.
  • How do I apply for a class?
    Log in and select a class you want to apply for.

    Payment and approval are made at the same time as class application, so you can start learning immediately.
    However, in 2021, the pre application and payment/approval period may be different for system stabilization purpose.
  • How many classes can I apply for?
    At Global MAD Academy, there is no limit on the number of classes that can be taken at the same time and there is no limit on the amount of study per day.
    However, if you do not submit assignments within the deadline, for classes with assignments, you may not receive feedback from the instructor.
  • How much is the tuition?
    Global MAD Academy is an online practical education platform in the field of MA.D that anyone can take anytime, anywhere.
    The tuition of Global MAD Academy, which will initiate pilot operation in 2021, is $1 per subject only for the year, will rise but remain under $100 from 2022 onward.
  • Do I need to buy textbooks?
    Global MAD Academy does not offer textbooks (reference books).
    Depending on the training course, you may need reference books or textbooks, which must be purchased separately.
    You can check if there are any textbooks available in [Class Overview] on the course detail page. If not prescribed, your class does not require textbooks.
  • Where do I download class materials?
    If there are separate learning materials, click [Learning Bulletin Board] on the class page and download the available materials.

    *There are no materials if the class you took has no available learning materials.
  • What are the class hours?
    The online video class period is 120 days from the start date (including review).
  • How do I check the learning, progress rate, and class information that I have applied for?
    Log in, find the list of class you are taking in the [My Classroom] menu.
    You can check the list of class standby for application approval in [Class standby for approval].
    You can take a class by selecting the class you want to learn from [Lectures you are taking], and check information, such as the class duration, progress rate, and completion standards.
    You can check the list of classes you have completed in [Closed Class].
  • Where do I ask about learning?
    If you leave a question on the [1:1 Inquiry Board] on the class detail page of a subject you are learning, we will answer after checking.
  • Why is the progress rate per session not 100%?
    Regardless of the video play speed, attendance will be recognized if you are present for at least 80% of total class time.

    Further, you must click the 'Retake the next class' button at the bottom of the video to save the class time. Therefore, be sure to click the button to complete the class.
  • What are the criteria for completing the course?
    Please refer to the completion standards, such as attendance, tests, and assignments for each class.
    You can check the progress rate of the class you are taking learning in [My Learning Management] > [Class in Progress].

    * Progress rate is calculated based on 100% of the entire session of the class. In some courses, quizzes and assignments are added. Therefore, separate standards may be applied.
  • Can I get proof of study besides the certificate of completion?
    No other documentary evidence, other than the certificate of completion, is issued.
  • The name on the certificate is incorrect.
    The name shown on the certificate of completion is the name you entered when you registered the membership.
    If you need to change your name due to a typo at the time of signing up with SNS or signing up for private information, we will help you with correction after checking your personal information.

  • How do I print out the Certificate of Completion?
    Log in, click [Issue Certificate of Completion] for the class in [My Classroom] > [Issue Certificate] list, and print.
    Please note that the certificate of completion is provided as a print-out service.
  • Can I retake the class?
    You can retake the class at any time during the course period.
  • Is it wrong to record the learning process and share with others?
    All courses of Global MAD Academy are protected by the copyright policy.

    If you violate the 'Copyright Protection Policy' as below through unauthorized recording, etc., it may be considered an illegal act.
